Yes. Every Whisker & Gem piece is made to order and individually crafted, allowing for full customization and meticulous attention to detail.
Where are your pieces made?
Each Whisker & Gem piece is proudly made to order in our Los Angeles atelier, located in the heart of the jewelry district. Crafted by master artisans with over 20 years of experience, we work side by side with skilled hands who bring our designs to life with precision, care, and exceptional craftsmanship.

What materials do you use?
We work exclusively with premium materials, including sterling silver, solid 14k gold, and natural gemstones.
Are the gemstones real and ethically sourced?
Yes. All gemstones are natural, responsibly sourced, and carefully selected for beauty, quality, and brilliance.
Are your pieces hallmarked?
Yes. All precious metal pieces are stamped to indicate metal purity (925 for sterling silver and 14K for solid gold).
Is your jewelry safe for sensitive skin?
Our solid gold and sterling silver pieces are nickel-free and suitable for sensitive skin.
ENGRAVING & CUSTOMIZATION
What information can I engrave on a dog tag?
You can engrave your pet’s name, contact details, medical information, custom paw prints, pet portraits, handwritten text, or doodles. After placing your order, please visit our Engraving page and email us your images, fonts, and text selections.
Can I add multiple lines of text?
Yes. The number of lines depends on tag size and font. Our Regal Dog Tags and Whisker Charms offer the most engraving space.
What fonts are available?
We offer everything from classic block to cursive fonts to suit your pet’s personality. You can view the full offerings under Engraving.
Can you engrave logos, artwork, or handwriting?
Yes. Custom artwork, logos, paw prints, and handwritten notes can be engraved if they meet our design guidelines.
Can I add special characters or emojis?
Select special characters and emojis may be possible depending on font and space.
Can I see a preview before it’s made?
Digital previews are available upon request. Approval may extend production beyond the standard timeline.
Do you offer fully custom designs?

How do I choose the right size?

Will the tag be heavy for small dogs?
Our smaller sizes are designed to be lightweight and comfortable for toy and small breeds.

Are the dog tags durable?
Our pieces are crafted from solid 14k gold and sterling silver for long-lasting wear.
How do I care for my jewelry?
Clean gently with a soft cloth and mild soap. Polish sterling silver with a silver cloth to prevent tarnish.
Are the tags waterproof?
They are water-resistant, but prolonged exposure may affect engraving. Remove before extended swimming or bathing.

How long does production take?
Production typically takes 1–2 business days.
What shipping do you offer?
Complimentary USPS Ground Shipping is provided on all orders. Expedited and international shipping are available at additional cost.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide. Rates are calculated at checkout.
What packaging will my order arrive in?
Each piece arrives in our signature Whisker & Gem box and pouch with a keepsake card detailing the name, material, gemstone, and creation date.
Can I send this as a gift?
Yes. All orders are gift-ready and may include a personalized note.
RETURNS, REPAIRS & REPLACEMENTS
Can I return or exchange a personalized piece?
Due to the made-to-order nature of our jewelry, returns are only accepted for manufacturing defects.
Do you offer repairs?
Yes. We can provide repair services depending on the issue.
Can I replace a lost or damaged tag?
Yes. We can recreate your piece with the same or updated engraving.
